One person was hospitalized after a pickup truck and tractor-trailer collided Wednesday afternoon in Cumming. The wreck occurred about 1:45 p.m. on Castleberry Road across from the Cumming Fairgrounds. The pickup struck the tractor-trailer as it was pulling out of a fairgrounds parking lot, according to authorities. Forsyth County firefighters had to free the driver of the pickup truck from the wreckage. He was then flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. His condition could not be immediately determined. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the collision, which tied up traffic on Castleberry for more than an hour. The Georgia State Patrol is handling the crash investigation.
