Margaret Corry will play soccer at (Div. I) Georgia Southern University next season. The Lambert defender and four-year starter moved to GSU on Sunday to take a few summer classes and to start practicing with her new team. "It’s a big school and it’s close to home but not too close," Corry said. "I know people [who go there] love it. I fell in love with the coaches and the team and the campus." Corry wants to become an impact player for the Lady Eagles, who finished the 2012 season with a record of 10-7-5. She’s accustomed to playing well on the pitch, as her Elite Club National League team was a semifinalist for the Georgia State Cup in 2010 and 2011. "I really hope I come in and make a difference," she said. "I’m going to come in and work hard and do my best." Corry plans to major in pre-nursing.
